Irish Heart Foundation to host white collar boxing fundraising event

Are you looking for a new challenge in 2015? Then the Irish Heart Foundation may have exactly what you are looking for as it launches its fouth annual Big Heart Fight Night this week. The Fight Night which has become one of the most popular nights in Galway’s social calendar is organised by the Irish Heart Foundation in association with Black Dragon gym Galway.

Speaking at the launch of the event last week local business woman and past Fight Night competitor Michelle Burke said it is a great experience.

“The training is challenging but really fun and definitely worthwhile, I’d recommend it to anyone.” Barry Hearns, local herbalife distributor added to this stating “It’s a great work out for the body and the mind”.

The Irish Heart Foundation is currently seeking people to sign up to become part of the Fight Night — David Greeley of Tempo Antiques said that this is a great opportunity to be trained by the best of the best. You are there alongside people who have won All Ireland and World titles but everyone is treated with the same respect and camaraderie, adding to the whole experience”.

Local businesses are also being invited to get involved in the Fight Night and companies can sponsor a member of their staff as a competitor or they can sponsor any of the boxers who sign up. If you are interested in taking part or to find out more about this challenge contact Breffni Gorman Regional Manager with the IHF on 086 3806941 or [email protected].

The Big Heart Fight Night will take place on Friday March 13 in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Galway. Tickets priced €20 will be available shortly.
