GALWAY ACTRESS Aoife Connolly will make her directorial debut with Marina Carr’s black comedy Portia Coughlan in The New Theatre, Temple Bar, Dublin, next month.
Ms Connolly, from Knocknacarra, founded Bluepatch Productions recently and the company will be staging the play from February 3 to 7.
Ms Connolly’s production of Portia Coughlan will feature original music by Galway songstress Aisling Quinn, whom Hotpress has compared to Kate Bush. Ms Connolly has appeared in TG4’s comedy Fear an Phoist alongside Little John Nee and in various theatre productions.
