TRACY BRUEN, the indie-folk singer-songwriter the Electric Picnic festival described as possessing “a stunning vocal range and a theatrical bent” launches her debut EP next week.
Galway based multi-instrumentalist and her band will mark the Play Outside The Lines EP’s release with a concert at the Nuns Island Theatre on Thursday November 27 at 8.30pm.
Tracy’s music blends indie, folk, and blues. She is also a classically trained vocalist who explores a wide vocal range in her singing. Tracy and her band have played Body & Soul, the Westport Festival, Sunflowerfest, and were listed as one of the Top Picks of the Bandstand Stage at Electric Picnic.
She is a member of the Gingerbeard Family group of Galway based musicians/comedians; a former member of My Fellow Sponges, playing on their 2013 debut album, Bonne Nuit; and her music has also been featured as part of Fregoli Theatre Company’s play, Shur I’ll be Alright Here On Me Own.
This is a ‘Gingerbeard House and in association with the Róisín Dubh’ event. Support is from New Pope. Admission is €10 and includes copy of EP. See www.roisindubh.net and check out Tracy's music on Bandcamp.
