A THREE day celebration of electronic music takes place in Galway with the inaugural MASS weekend tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday.
Featuring, workshops, clubnights, and hardware demonstrations, the weekender is a collaboration between local promoters Kinetika, Get Boogie, Bap To The Future, and the Sub Version soundsystem.
The launch party is tomorrow in Factory with Finnish drum’n’bass producer Fanu playing cutting edge beats and heavy bass.
Saturday will see the launch of Nommos, a new series of gigs aimed at highlighting experimental electronic music while utilising unusual spaces. Dave Nuremburg (aka Trevor O’Reilly ) will headline this event.
Saturday also sees renowned Irish producer Eomac giving a masterclass in which he will demonstrate the tips and tricks which have seen him rise to the top of the techno scene following his recent relocation to Berlin.
The weekend winds down with an all day party in Biteclub with music by DJ Platinum Ray and guests.
Admission to all gigs is free, excluding Fanu, which is €8. See Facebook.com/bap tothefuture.
