Turloughmore’s got talent — show them what you’ve got

Following the much enjoyed success of last year’s talent competition, Turloughmore GAA Club has joined forces with the DMD Charity, Join our Boys, and is hosting another event, this year to be held on Saturday, November 8.

All talents are welcome to this year’s competition and after last year’s great turnout, the club is simply bursting with excitement to see what wonderous things this year’s contestants will bring about. The competition categories are: national school, secondary scool, and adult, for either individuals or groups. There is an entry fee, and it is €10 per individual, and €20 per group.

Anyone wishing to showcase their talent for a good cause, please contact Leonie on 086 7328848 to discuss your appearance in the talent show. The closing date for registration is November 1.

The Charity, Join our Boy’s, aims to combat Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD ) through raising awareness. DMD is a progressive neuromuscular disease for which there is currently no cure. This disease has only most recently come to the media’s attention after the devastating diagnosis of the three Naughton boys, Archie, George and Isaac, visit joinourboys.org for more information.

The event will be held at the Turloughmore Social Centre on Saturday, November 8, the doors are open at 6:00pm and the spectacle begins at 6:30pm. Tickets can be acquired through the Turloughmore GAA Club, team managers and Leonie at 086 7328848, the cost is €10 per adult with children attending the show for free
