The NUIG Choral Society is hosting a free alumni concert on Saturdayat 8pm in the Aula Maxima in NUI Galway.
The alumni group will present music from their period in NUIG and will meet on Saturday morning and afternoon to relearn the pieces ahead of the special concert. The University Staff Choir, winners of the local ChoirFactor competition, will also be performing ahead of their trip to the Sligo Choral Festival.
After the concert, the performers and concert goers will be invited to the College Bar for some further singing entertainment.
The groups will be conducted by Peter Mannion, a graduate from Belclare, and will feature a wide range of musical genres with everything from madrigals to modern pop music and will appeal to most musical tastes.
