Roller derby is a full-contact sport on roller-skates, which is fast, furious, and fun. Galway City Roller Derby was founded in October 2012 and the Galway City She Devils is a sports team that also teaches how to skate and how to play roller derby.
The She Devils welcome new members to help out at scrimmages and bouts. It also runs a Freshmeat programme for new skaters twice a year.
Console was established in 2002 by Paul Kelly after he had experienced the grief of losing a loved one by suicide. Through his loss, Paul recognised a need for a dedicated suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention service in Ireland. Since then Console has developed into a national organisation supporting people in suicidal crisis and those bereaved by suicide.
Doors are at 7.30pm. Quiz starts at 8pm. Tickets are €20 for a table of four. For more information on the She Devils, email [email protected], [email protected], or see Galway City Roller Derby.
