John Denver as sung by Marc Roberts

MARC ROBERTS has won huge acclaim over the years for his Tribute to the Music of John Denver show, and he is bringing it back to the Town Hall Theatre.

The popular singer-songwriter and radio DJ will be joined by The Conquerors to perform Denver classics like ‘Country Roads’, ‘Rocky Mountain High’, and ‘Thank God I’m A Country Boy’, on Wednesday October 22 at 8pm.

John Denver was tragically killed in an aeroplane accident in October 1997 while 2014 marks the 70th anniversary of his birth. Marc’s tribute show has toured Ireland, Britain, Germany, Australia, and Colorado, and won the Sunday World Theatre Show Of The Year award.

Marc has enjoyed success as a solo artist. His 2013 album Now & Then reached No 1 on the iTunes country charts, while the single ‘Wild Atlantic Way’, written with Yvonne Fahy went to No 1 on the iTunes singles charts.

The Conquerors open the show playing music by The Carpenters and the Highwaymen. Tickets are available from the Town Hall on 091 - 569777 or www.tht.ie
