The Mayo Male Voice Choir is joining forces with mezzo soprano Annemarie Gibbons to perform a special concert in the Derrylahan, Louisburgh, tonight at 8.30 pm.
Ms Gibbons is internationally acclaimed for her operatic performances and will return to her native Louisburgh to perform with the choir and raise funds for the local Order of Malta.
The Louisburgh Junior Choir will also share the stage on the night.
Castlebar man and member of the Mayo Male Voice Choir, Michael Basquille, said that the choir members love going to Louisburgh to perform.
“It's a great night out for us all. We love going to Louisburgh and sharing the stage with Annemarie Gibbons and the Louisburgh Junior Choir. And it is for a great cause in the Louisburgh Order of Malta. We've played to packed houses before in Louisburgh and it’s just a great night for all,” he enthused.
Tickets for the event are available at €15 on the door.
