A play from the creator and writer of crime drama smash hit Love/Hate is coming to the Linenhall this month.

Galway-based Decadent Theatre is bringing Defender of the Faith, Stuart Carolan’s first play, to the arts centre for two nights on Monday and Tuesday, October 20 and 21, at 8 pm.

The play, described as “blackly comic and chillingly real” is a thriller set on a farm in Armagh in 1986.

It tells the story of a family entrenched in paramilitarism and under the constant watch of British forces.

When a visitor arrives with the job of rooting out a police informer, paranoia grips the farm in an electrifying exploration of a family tested by loyalty and love.

Defender of the Faith is directed by Andrew Flynn, and stars Peter Gowen, Diarmuid de Faoite, Anthony Brophy, Lalor Roddy and Michael Ford-Fitzgerald.

Booking is advised. Telephone (094 ) 9023733 or book online at www.thelinenhall.com
