DELORENTOS’ FIFTH album, Night Becomes Light, will be released on Friday October 10 followed by an Irish tour which sees the Dublin quartet play Galway next month.
Delorentos’ previous album Little Sparks was widely hailed as a masterpiece and a major return to form - as evidenced by its winning the Meteor Choice Music Award - especially as it followed a tumultuous period when the band came close to splitting. Expectations will be high for Night Becomes Light then, which is being released on Delo Records/Universal Music Ireland.
The 11-track album was recorded in Exchequer Studios and at Grouse Lodge and is produced by Rob Kirwan, who also oversaw Little Sparks. A taster for the album was provided by the single ‘Show Me Love’, which came out in August.
To promote the album Delorentos are undertaking a national tour which will see them play the Róisín Dubh on Friday November 14 at 9pm. Support is from The Academic. Tickets are available at www.roisindubh.net, the Ticket Desk at OMG Zhivago, Shop Street, and The Róisín Dubh.
