THIS WEEK sees the start of three poetry workshops in the Galway Arts Centre hosted by the acclaimed Galway poet Kevin Higgins.
The Tuesday (7pm to 8.30pm ) classes and Friday (2 to 3.30pm ) classes are open to beginners and those who have been writing for some time. The Thursday (2pm to 4pm ) workshop is an Advanced Poetry Workshop for those who have participated in poetry workshops before or had poems published in magazines. Each workshop runs for 10 weeks.
Kevin Higgins is the author of the poetry collections The Boy With No Face (2006 ), Time Gentlemen, Please (2008 ), Frightening New Furniture (2010 ), and The Ghost In The Lobby (2014 ).
