Hillwalking club to hold information night

The Cumann Siúl Cois Coiribe hillwalking club, based in Galway city, will hold an information night in the Menlo Park Hotel on Tuesday September 30 at 9pm. New members are welcome to attend.

This club, which was formed in 2001, is a mixed group of walkers who climb the lower, medium, and higher peaks in Connemara, Clare, and south Mayo on a fortnightly basis.

The group is always led by a trained leader. They have been climbing as a group for the past 13 years. At the information night, new members can chat with existing club members to hear all about the club. A talk on walking gear and slide show of walks and outings during the year will also be presented on the night. Membership, including insurance cover with the Mountaineering Council of Ireland, costs only €50 a year.

If you would like to make new friends, keep fit, enjoy a new interest and healthier lifestyle, go along on September 30. All are welcome.
