Scoil Fhursa national school in Salthill will get extra accommodation through the replacement of prefabs, new resource rooms, and general refurbishments.
Approval for the new facilities was granted by the Minister for Education, Jan O’Sullivan, and has been welcomed by Labour Galway West TD Derek Nolan.
“At present the accommodation at Scoil Fhursa is not up to scratch,” he said, “but these refurbishment works will allow students and teachers to benefit from newer and more modern facilities.”
Dep Nolan added that the works are part of the school’s “overall design ambitions for the building”.
