Beat on the street - the Silent Disco Street Party

BEAT ON the street! Bop ‘till you drop! Sing ‘til you’re hoarse to the ripest musical fromage imaginable! It can only be the legendary Silent Disco Street Party.

The Róisín Dubh is hosting the party on Dominick Street this Sunday from 8pm to 1pm and promises to be the most fun you can have on the street with a pair of headphones.

DJs Ted and Gugai who play the Róisín’s regular Silent Discos every Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as headlining the Silent Disco tent at Electric Picnic, will be on deck duty for the party.

The play list will include classics, anthems, guilty pleasures, songs you love, and songs you love to hate. Expect to hear ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘Don’t Stop Belivin’’, and the Star Wars theme. You can switch between the two DJs depending on who is playing what you like, or simply you can enjoy looking at hundreds of people dancing and singing along to classic hits anthems, guilty pleasures, and pure cheese - except no music will be heard as they will be all wearing headphones.

The event is over-18s only. Admission is €20, but there is a €10 deposit which will be refunded when the headphones are returned. Tickets are available from roisindubh.net
