Celebrate a birthday with Over The Edge

THE OVER The Edge readings will celebrate its sixth year in existence with a reading by Tom French in the Galway City Library on Thursday January 22 at 6.30pm.

Tom French’s first collection of poems, Touching the Bones (Gallery Press ) was awarded a Forward Prize for Best First collection in 2002. In 2001 he read at the Cúirt Literature Festival. His recent poems have been published in The Manchester Review and his second collection, The Blood Line is nearing completion. He lives with his family in Co Meath where he works for the library service.

Also reading on the night are Los Angeles’ Lisa Frank, who has had work published in American literary journals, and Co Tipperary’s Áine Tierney, whose writing has appeared in various magazines and newspapers.

There will be an open-mic after the featured readers have finished. The MC will be Susan Millar DuMars. For more information contact 087 - 6431748.
