AIB launches third level student campaign

AIB has launched its latest third level student campaign. A range of reduced rate loan facilities are available for students and parents, and are designed to assist with the cost of financing third level education.

These include the student contribution charge loan, a parental student finance loan, a student personal loan, and a specialist faculty loan. AIB approves nine out of 10 student loans and is the number one student bank in Ireland.

AIB staff and student officers from AIB University Branch, Newcastle Road, and AIB GMIT, are at hand to answer any questions that people may have about the full suite of college finance options available.

First year students who open an AIB student plus account will get a voucher for a student leap card and a discount card, offering students travel discounts with carriers such as Irish Rail, Dublin Bus, DART, LUAS, Bus Eireann, and more than 100 retailer discounts nationwide.

AIB’s head of personal banking, David Hammond, said; “We recognise the importance of supporting both students and parents through what can be a very expensive time. With rising rents and the reintroduction of college fees, we recognise the critical importance for AIB to support students so that they can concentrate on realising their full potential without added financial pressures. AIB is Ireland’s number one student bank and has a large number of campus and near campus branches with dedicated student officers to help students with any financial needs throughout their college years.”

For more information students or parents can call into their local AIB branch or contact AIB’s dedicated student centre on 1890 788 336. Lines are open 8am to 9pm, Monday to Friday, and 9am to 6pm on Saturday. Information is also available online at www.aib.ie/students
