Affordable training for Galway entrepreneurs and start-up businesses

The Local Enterprise Office Galway is rolling out a brand new autumn schedule of training courses which are designed and priced with the small to middle sized business in mind.

The courses are subsidised and are relevant for someone who is thinking of starting a business and not sure of the next steps to take and also the single operator who is self-employed.

Breda Fox, head of enterprise with the GLEO, said; “Cost is a factor for smaller businesses and the environment today is far more challenging for businesses. With that in mind the GLEO is continuing its successful programme of keenly priced and relevant courses for small businesses in Galway city and county.”

Workshops will include: costing, pricing, and cash flow for your business; Facebook for business (beginners and intermediate ); beginners guide to social media; plan and develop a website; and PR, branding, and marketing for your business. Places for the programme are limited so booking is essential.

The Lean Launch training programme, which is exclusive to Galway by the GLEO, will be starting next month on Thursday September 25. The Lean Launch pilot last year proved very successful in clearly identifying whether there was a sustainable business in the client’s ideas.

Some of the participants will proceed to establish their business, some may become clients for funding, and some may decide to pull back from further investment in their concept. This programme is heavily subsidised by the GLEO, costing only €150 to entrepreneurs and is limited to 12 places only. Entrepreneurs must have a business idea.

All training courses and the Lean Launch programme will be held at the GLEO’s training room in Woodquay, Galway. For more information or to book your place call (091 ) 565269 or visit the website at www.localenterprise.ie/galway/training-events/training/
