Trading Faces has been running performance courses in Galway since 1993. The school gives young people (five to 18 years ) the opportunity to explore performance skills for stage. Workshops are run in acting, singing, and dancing, and are both lively and enjoyable.
The aim of Trading Faces is to introduce and nurture new and upcoming students to the world of performing arts. It is all about developing self-confidence and improving communication skills, while making new friends in a safe and fun environment.
This year, seniors will work on West Side Story and juniors on Fame. Both musicals will be performed in the Town Hall Theatre.
Trading Faces has its own television channel on YouTube, showcasing past show clips. You can also visit Trading Faces Stage School on Facebook.
Leaving Cert students can reach for those extra 40 points through the CAO. Students can opt to take acting exams with the Irish Board of Speech and Drama.
