A Norwegian internationalist choir

HALVFAN SVARTES Guttekor is a 16 member choir of male singers aged 30 and over from Norway, who have a truly internationalist approach to music.

Not only do they perform Norwegian songs, they also perform Irish, English, American, and Russian songs, supported by piano, flute, violin, and guitars under the instruction of Bulgarian conductor and artistic leader, Liina Ivanova Myhre.

The choir, whose name translates as ‘The Viking King Halvdan and the Black Boys Choir’, has performed two acclaimed shows in Dublin. They are coming to Galway on Friday September 12 to sing at Monroe’s Live.

Doors are at 9pm and tickets are available on the door or through www.monroes.ie and 091 - 583397.
