GALWAY CITY and Newbridge, outside Ballinasloe, will both host an exhibition of work produced by artists from the GMIT Summer Residency Programme and the 126 ARTFarm Residency.
The Galway leg of the exhibition takes place this Saturday in the 126 Gallery, Flood Street, from 11am to 6pm?. It features Conall Cary, Heather Macali, Marielle McLeman, Christina Mullen, Tassia Bianchini, Elodie Rei and the five members of Itsa Collective (Betty Gannon, Joanna Hopkins, Amanda Rice and Ian Wieczorek ). who were selected for the inaugural GMIT Centre for Creative Arts & Media Summer Residency Programme.
There will also be a screening of a film by Conal Carey; a reading of a paper by Tina Mullan at 12 noon, and the various artists informally discussing their residency experience throughout the day.?
The ARTFarm exhibition takes place on Sunday in Cloonkeen, Newbridge, Ballinasloe, from 2pm.
Visitors will be welcomed to the ARTFarm with a tour of the grounds by Sheila Flannigan and there will be an informal presentation by Ramona Burke and board members of 126 about the residency and future plans for ARTFarm. There will be food and refreshments for visitors.
