Galway’s business leaders have been invited to attend a business lunch and talk next week by Deputy Richard Bruton, TD, deputy leader Fine Gael and finance spokesperson.
Dep Bruton will address the business community on Wednesday January 21 in the Hotel Meyrick and will address the topic Coping with the Economic Crisis — creating a smarter state, the agenda of reform, and new challenges.
Dep Bruton is coming to Galway having been invited by FG senator Fidelma Helay-Eames who welcomed the announcement of the talk.
“On a daily basis the news is gloomy and depressing. Some people have told me it makes them feel like emigrating. But this is our country, we love it, we live here and we wont run away from it,” she said.
“ At this time we need hope and new ideas to get us through this crisis. As we face into ever straitened economic times with falling employment, businesses facing difficulties accessing credit and paying wages, sterling creating new challenges for exports, and our infrastructure under pressure in the west of Ireland, Deputy Bruton's message is coming at an important time,” she concluded.
