Clarenbridge Oyster Festival’s Best Dressed Competition is bigger and better

The 60th Clarenbridge Oyster Festival returns this September and GALWAYnow will once again sponsor the Best Dressed Competition at the glamorous event.

This year’s competition is bigger and better than ever before, with a prize for Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Man, and Best Hat. Patricia McCrossan, managing director of GALWAYnow, will judge the competition while award-winning milliner Jennifer Wrynne will judge best hat and will present the winner with a specially designed hat.

The winner of the Best Dressed Lady will win a relaxing break at Farnham Estate Golf & Spa Resort, Cavan, and a stunning piece of jewellery designed by Lynsey De Burca. Located in the heart of a magnificent estate, the Radisson Blu Farnham Estate is a contemporary and stylish hotel, full of country charm and character, surrounded by natural beauty among acres of rolling countryside.

One lucky winner and a friend will enjoy an overnight stay and wake up to a buffet breakfast, and also enjoy an evening meal in the Botanica Restaurant, which overlooks Farnham lawns. Finally, the winner can utterly spoil herself in the world-class destination health spa with access to the indoor/outdoor infinity pool, water mint thermal suite, relaxation room, and gym.

The Best Dressed Man on the day will win a €600 voucher from Louis Copeland. Judges will mingle in the crowd and select finalists before choosing a winner that evening.

The Clarenbridge Oyster Festival runs from Friday September 12 to Sunday September 14 and includes a stellar lineup of The Stunning, The Amazing Apples, and The Galway Bay Jazz Band. This year’s festival, which will be held in the festival marquee, will host a range of entertainment and activities suitable to festival lovers of all ages.
