Pulse College, one of Ireland’s leading colleges in creative media education with more than 20 years’ experience, is launching its second year operating in Galway city. Specialising in games development, the college provides students with the highest standards in training and facilities available, offering both full and part-time courses.

With the continued growth of the games industry in Ireland, Pulse College has recently partnered with the Dublin Institute of Technology to deliver an innovative Level 6 higher certificate in game development.

Using only industry standard software, the games development courses are designed by gaming professionals to specifically produce industry-ready graduates. “These courses take students from the basics of games development, including conceptual art, scriptwriting, studio sound, and digital imaging, right through to 3D games programming,” said John Healy, head of the games development programme.

September 2014 will also see Pulse College bring its renowned expertise in music production and audio technology to Galway with the launch of a 10 week part-time music technology and production course. Students will get to record in the world famous Windmill Lane Recording Studios as part of the course.

Located in Galway city, courses will commence in September. Applicants who complete these courses successfully are work-ready and highly sought after by industry.
