GALWAY ARTIST and GMIT graduate Patrick Augustus Furey has won the RDS Printmaking Award in recognition of excellence.
A 2014 graduate of the higher level degree at the Centre for Creative Arts & Media at GMIT, Patrick produced a series of mezzotint prints, two of which were selected to hang in The RDS Student Art Awards exhibition and which won him this award. Seven other students from GMIT had their work selected for this exhibition.
The exhibition runs at the RDS Horse Show until Sunday August 10. It then travels to The Bourne Vincent Gallery, Limerick from September 4 to October 10.
