Emirates to feed its growth with recruitment drive in Galway city

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, is returning to Galway this month with new recruitment drives in three locations to help fulfil the airline’s cabin crew requirements, which are growing in line with the dynamic expansion of the company.

The recruitment events in Galway will take place on August 23 at the Harbour Hotel, New Dock Road, Galway city.

Beginning at 9am, men and women who are interested in exploring these opportunities with Emirates are encouraged to attend, and meet experienced members of the Emirates recruitment team to discover what it is like to work onboard. Those who are interested apply on the day, and, if shortlisted, will be invited back for interview in the ensuing days.

Currently serving 143 destinations around the globe, Ireland is an ever-popular destination for Emirates’ recruitment drives, with a number of open days having taken place earlier this year. Not only will successful applicants have the opportunity to explore the world with the job of their dreams, but they will also be based in the cosmopolitan and flourishing city of Dubai.

Emirates currently employs more than 312 cabin crew from Ireland and more than 440 from Ireland throughout the company as a whole. Emirates is dedicated to embracing cultural diversity, and employs multi-national cabin crew recruited from more than 130 countries.

Emirates’ Dublin – Dubai route has emerged as one of its most successful since its commencement in January 2012, and will launch its double daily service from Dublin-Dubai this September, a short two and a half years later. The route has succeeded in connecting Ireland to Dubai and onward to destinations such as Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, Kuala Lumpur, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, India, and Phuket.

Emirates’ footprint in 2014 continues to grow and includes launches of routes to Chicago, (August 5 ), Oslo (September 2 ), Brussels (September 5 ) and Budapest (October 27 ) after Taipei and Boston were launched earlier in the year.

Emirates offers diversified job activity onboard with a truly international team: over 18,500 flight attendants, from more than 130 countries, speaking over 50 languages.

In terms of preparation for candidates, Emirates seeks dedicated employees, who are open-minded, helpful, friendly and service-oriented. Applicants have to be at least 21 years old at the time of possible recruitment and are requested to bring an up-to-date CV in English, and a photograph.
