Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following an accident in which a woman was struck by a car in the city centre.
The accident occurred at the junction of Dominick Street and Henry Street at around 6.30pm on Sunday. The woman, who is in her fifties, was brought by ambulance to University College Hospital where she was treated for her injuries.
Gardaí have spoken to a number of witnesses following the incident, but are appealing to anyone else who witnessed the accident to come forward. Witnesses are asked to contact Garda Linda McManus in Galway Garda Station, phone (091 ) 538000.
