Primrose Leary is back

THE THIRD and final instalment in the Primrose Leary trilogy of books, prIMPERFECT, will be launched next month.

prIMPERFECT, by Galway author Deirdre Sullivan, and published by Little Island, will be launched by poet Gerry Hanberry in Charlie Byrne’s Book Shop, Middle Street, on Friday August 1 at 6pm.

The Primrose Leary books deal, in a humorous manner, with the day-to-day embassassments of teenage life. Deirdre Sullivan had been described by Siobhan Parkinson as “a writer with a sparkling talent” Her first novel Prim Improper was shortlisted for the Bisto Children's Book of the Year Awards 2011.

prIMPERFECT has been chosen by Dubray Books as a staff recommended read for July and described it as “desperately funny and desperately touching”.
