New Skoda Octavia Scout for family and leisure

Skoda describes its new Octavia Scout as an all-rounder that impresses with exceptional driving performance both on and off road. Prices will start here from €33,795, when it arrives later in the year.

Compared to the previous model, emission and consumption levels have been reduced by up to 20 per cent, which defies the fact that power and performance has increased across all drive units. In addition the new Scout is even more spacious, very practical, with leading safety equipment and packaged with generous levels of standard equipment.

“As an exceptionally versatile cross-over estate, the new Octavia Scout demonstrates the strengths of the Skoda brand,” says CEO Professor Dr Winfried Vahland.

The new Octavia Scout is based on the Octavia estate variant. Its market launch will be at the National Ploughing Championships on September 23.

Three new and more powerful engines and up to 20 per cent more efficient; a premiere for the 2.0 TDI/184bhp with DSG and 4x4 all-wheel drive. The new Octavia Scout also features ultra modern all-wheel-drive technology based on innovative fifth generation Haldex clutch.

The Octavia Scout has been a fixed feature in Skoda’s model range since 2007. With its second generation Scout, the Czech manufacturer intends to build further on the successes of their versatile 4x4 vehicle range. Between 2007 and the end of 2013, Skoda says that it sold approximately 53,600 Octavia Scouts worldwide. This represents almost eight per cent of all Octavia estates supplied during that period.
