Praise be! It’s the Dublin Gospel Choir

THE DUBLIN Gospel Choir have been called “a must-see – who’d have thought gospel would be this cool?” by The Irish Times, and “uplifting” by Hot Press.

Now, as part of the Galway International Arts Festival, “Ireland’s foremost gospel musicians” (Metro ) play the Róisín Dubh on Sunday at 7pm.

From their modest beginnings in the late 1990s as a local school choir in Dublin’s inner city, the choir has since performed with Stevie Wonder, Rod Stewart, and The Chieftains; perform at Electric Picnic, Croke Park, and the Aviva Stadium, and become the first gospel act to break into the Top 30 if the Irish album charts.

Tickets are available through www.giaf.com and www.roisindubh.net
