A walk on the wild side at Ballyconneely

A guided nature walk at Ballyconneely will take place on Sunday.

Organised by The Galway branch of the Irish Wildlife Trust, the walk will explore the local shore, meadows, and machair, a unique type of coastal grassland.

The National Parks & Wildlife Service ranger Dermot Breen will lead the trip, which is free, but the Irish Wildlife Trust will accept donations on the day.

Interested parties are asked to book their place by emailing [email protected] or contact Gavin 086-0888400.

For those interested but without transport, contact the IWT as it may be possible to arrange transport. The meeting point is Keogh’s pub and shop, Ballyconneely at 12 noon. Participants are advised to wear good walking footwear and to bring rain gear.
