Free digital marketing techniques with Dreamwedding.com

The next free seminar organised by Online Marketing in Galway will feature Aoife Kelly of Dublin-based Dreamwedding and Fergal Costello, of Touchwood.ie

The seminar will take place on Tuesday July 22 at 7pm in the Harbour Hotel.

Keynote speaker Aoife Kelly, who is the user acquisition manager for Dreamwedding, will explore how small businesses can use similar techniques to build relationships with their target audience and mould a brand personality.

Launching its community page in September 2013, Dreamwedding has become a Facebook phenomenon, attracting an audience of 475,000 fans with a reach of more than 1.2 million people each week, without a single competition.

Dreamwedding is a three-strand digital media platform that combines a Facebook game, editorial website, and mobile app, which launched in Ireland May 26.

More than 70 per cent of brides-to-be play Facebook games and the Dreamwedding game is the first in the world which gives brides-to-be the opportunity to plan a fantasy wedding by picking real-worl, local suppliers.

Maricka Burke Keogh of OMiG says as a global digital platform with a €5 million investment from Switzerland based venture capitalists Digtial Capital, based in The Digital Hub, Dublin, there is lots to learn from Dreamwedding’s experience in setting up this digital platform to date.

In addition to the keynote speaker, local furniture designer turned digital marketer Fergal Costello will present his experience with Facebook advertising with a presentation titled ‘Facebook Advertising: A Scientific Approach’.

In 2011 Fergal Costello combined his two key passions to set up TouchWood.ie As an award winning furniture designer and a former professional Irish dancer, Fergal Costello retired from travelling the world with top productions to bring his idea for a new way of displaying medals to the market. The presentations on the night and the networking after the event will provide invaluable expertise and a chance to meet others in the field. The event is free and tickets can be booked at www.GalwayMarketing.ie/events
