Saturday’s Currafest Music Festival for family-friendly fun

Currafest Music Festival takes place on Saturday and promises to be another fantastic family-friendly event.

Held on the grounds of Curra West Golf Club, Loughrea, Co Galway, this year’s event is supporting Our Lady’s Crumlin Children Hospital.

Since its first year Currafest has been a successful fundraising event, and this year’s organisers, Dave Gardiner and Shane Reidy from West Coast Events Ltd, are adamant to keep it that way.

The line up for the event includes The Riptide Movement, whose songs including ‘Getting Through’ and ‘All Works Out’ have proven to be big hits. They will headline the music festival alongside other impressive acts, such as X Factor’s Matt Cardle, The Frank & Walters, Kerbdog, Fergal D’Arcy, Leading Armies, and more.

In addition to the music acts, Currafest will includea Comedy Tent, Food Fest and Currakids Playzone, along with the new option of camping overnight on the Saturday. The festival is family-friendly with something for everyone, and promises to be a great day out for people of all ages.

Tickets are still available at €39 for a day ticket and a €49 day ticket with camping. Children under 12 are free, and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets can be purchased through the Currafest website, www.currafest.ie
