THE MUSIC of Europe and Latin America collide in exciting and funky fashion in the band Mama Kasbah, who play Monroe’s Live this Saturday at 9pm.
Mama Kasbah formed in 2012 by Sicilian songwriter and guitarist Fabio and French guitarist Christophe. Completing the line-up are percussionist Angel, from Madrid, and bass player Carl, from Casablanca, Morocco. They sing in a variety of languages and their music draws on rumba, ska, reggae, Balkan, and Latin American.
