SINGER SONGWRITER Kidnapper, the debut feature film of award-winning writer/director Douglas Ray, and starring Matt Berry and Eva Birthistle, will get its world premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh.
Singer Songwriter Kidnapper follows hapless has-been musician Mark, who finds out his wife Karen has been cheating on him - with another woman. So what does he do? He kidnaps them and drives out of London with a tub full of poison to kill the three of them and enough antidote to save only two. The result is a comedy thriller leading to an unexpected climax.
The cast is County Wicklow’s Eva Birthistle as Karen (Amber, Ae Fond Kiss ); Antonia Campbell-Hughes (The Other Side of Sleep ) as her girlfriend; Paul Hilton, an Olivier Award winning British stage actor, as Mark; and the great Matt Berry (The IT Crowd, The Mighty Boosh ).
