Galway rowers have been selected to compete at the under-23 World Rowing Championships in Italy next month, from 23rd to 27th July.
Fionnain McQuillan-Tolan, who currently rows with Grainne Mhaol RC, Richard Bennett, Robert O'Callaghan, and Kevin Neville, all from the NUIG Boat Club, will contest the men’s four event at the championships in Varese which run from Julu 23 to 27.
The four are experienced rowers who will be looking for a good result.
Bennett and O’Callaghan have experience at this level, having competed in last year’s u-23 championships, where they obtained ninth place.
McQuillan-Tolan, who started rowing with St Joseph’s College, winning three junior championships, recently lined out in Boston College top 8+ at the Eastern Sprint regatta.
