The Sorcha Barry Piano Summer Workshop is returning to Galway city this July for four to 12-year-olds.
The camp offers lessons in piano, keyboard, singing, percussion, as well as music-themed art projects. Children will also learn to record their own CD. All are welcome, including beginners.
There will also be a shorter morning camp for children aged between four and six years, where young children can learn basic rhythms and songs and tell stories through musical sound and movement.
The workshop will be run by Sorcha Barry (BMus, DipLCM, ALCM, ADPA ). Classes will be limited to five places per group to guarantee individual attention, and early bookings are advised.
Classes for children aged between four and six will run from 10am to 11.30am and cost €60 per week, classes for children aged between seven and nine will run from 12 noon to 2.30pm and cost €75 per week, and classes for children aged between 10 and 12 will run from 3pm to 5pm and cost €75 per week.
Courses will be held on every weekday from Monday June 30 to Friday July 25.
