Róisín Dubh Stage @ Westport Festival

THE CREAM of Irish indie rock, including some of Galway’s best bands, will be taking Mayo by storm when they play the Westport Festival of Music and Food 2014.

The festival, which takes place on the grounds of Westport House, this Saturday and Sunday, and as well as the event’s main and marquee stages, there will be the Róisín Dubh Stage, hosted by the award winning Dominick Street venue.

The line up for the Róisín Dubh Stage on Saturday is The Furious Haze (12.30pm ); Tracey Bruen (1.15pm ); We Shoot Deserters (2pm ); Galway post-rock/avant garde metal duo It Was All A Bit Black And White (2.45pm ); Galway folk-pop band The Depravations (3.45pm ); Galway indie/alternative rock trio Boyfights, led by songwriter/guitarist Eoin Reilly (4.35pm ); electronic duo Tvvins (5.30pm ); singer-songwriter Lisa O’Neill (6.30pm ); Dublin indie-rockers The Cast Of Cheers (8.40pm ); and the phenomenally talented Little Green Cars (10pm ).

Sunday’s line up is Galway rock quartet Slyrydes (12.30pm ); Zero Era (1.15pm ); Rudytruixx (2pm ); Galway quintet My Fellow Sponges (2.45pm ); Maude In Cahoots (3.30pm ); the brilliant Galway garage-rock/indie-pop band Dott, led by songwriter Anna McCarthy (4.30pm ); electro singer-songwriter Elaine Mai (5.20pm ); Limerick’s brilliant indie-rock band Windings (6.30pm ); the melodic Dublin duo We Cut Corners (7.40pm ); electro/house/indie composer/producer/DJ Daithí (8.40pm ); and Little Green Cars (10pm ).
