The ‘Irish ZZ Top’ are in town

CROW BLACK Chicken have been called “an Irish ZZ Top” and given their grizzly beards and monstrous blues riffs, the comparison is apt.

The trio play Monroe’s Live this Sunday as part of a tour to launch their new album Rumble Shake, the follow-up to their debut Electric Soup.

The band’s influences are Kyuss, Clutch, and Seasick Steve, and they have played the prestigious Glastonbury festival.

Support is from Brazilian rock band, Cartoon, who are in Ireland promoting their fourth album, Unbeatable. Doors open at 9.30pm and admission is €5. See www.monroes.ie
