Macnas is already preparing for its Halloween parade and will launch details of the event on Thursday June 19 in the Galway City Museum’s Kitchen café.
The company is also seeking funding from the public, businesses, and organisations to help ensure there will be a Macnas parade.
“We need to highlight the simple truth: funding is needed to sustain our favourite epic large-scale community event,” said Macnas artistic director Noeline Kavanagh. “Unfortunately that’s money we don’t have. We want to keep our Galway streets alive with energy, imagination, joy, and anarchy. Every penny counts, there’s no minimum or maximum amount.”
Donations can be made online through Macnas.com/support For more information contact 091 - 568896 or [email protected].
Macnas will also be performing at the President’s Garden Party, Áras an Uachtaráin, on Saturday June 21 and Brigit’s Garden 10 year celebrations on Sunday June 29. See www.macnas.com
