Getting investment and jobs into the Connemara electoral area is just some of the priorities for newly elected Fianna Fáil county councillor Noel Thomas.
Cllr Thomas, a self-employed landscape gardener who is a native of Kilannin but has been living in Moycullen for more than 14 years, was elected to Galway County Council in the thirteenth and final count which took place at the Bailey Allen Hall, NUI Galway, on Sunday.
Speaking after his win, a delighted Cllr Thomas said it was the strong campaign and all the “marvellous support” he received from everybody that brought him over the line.
