Broderick re-elected in Ballinasloe

The controversial closure of the 22 acute mental health beds at St Brigid’s Hospital in Ballinasloe will continue to be a major issue and the “time has come for it to be reviewed”, that is according to Independent Tim Broderick who was re-elected to Galway County Council at the count centre at NUI Galway today.

Cllr Broderick told the Galway Advertiser that he was both humbled and privileged to serve the people of the Ballinasloe area for the next five years adding that he will continue raise issues such as the maternity services and the downgrading of Portiuncula Hospital.
