RTÉ NSO to play Galway

THE RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra comes to Galway in October, to perform music by Brahms and Richard Strauss, in Leisureland, Salthill.

The show, on Thursday October 9 at 8pm, will feature principal conductor Alan Buribayev and German cellist Daniel Müller-Schott.

Müller-Schott is regarded as one of the foremost cellists of his generation. He has a great reputation as a live performer for his energetic interpretations, technical brilliance, and emotional acuity.

“Music For Galway’s coming season will be focusing on the cello,” said MFG’s artistic director Finghin Collins. “We are thrilled the RTÉ NSO has secured such a stellar artist. This performance will give us the opportunity to showcase this gorgeous instrument as the star with a symphony orchestra.”

The concert is possible through the support of SAP Ireland. Tickets are €22.50/18/10 from Music for Galway (091 - 705962 ); Opus 2, High Street; or the Town Hall Theatre (091 - 569777, www.tht.ie ). There is also a special offer of four tickets for €80, but availability is limited.
