Interest levels are high for DNG Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard's open viewings

Leading Galway property expert DNG Maxwell Heaslip & Leonard is reporting unmatched levels of interest at open viewings for its May 30 auctions in The Radisson Hotel, which will see a total of 13 lots go to the auction floor.

With properties throughout Galway city and county, the Francis Street-based agent has been delighted with the turnout at open viewings so far. Director Fergal Leonard reckons the recent uplift in the Galway market, as well as the company’s prominent marketing, are the factors leading to the big turnouts. “There’s no doubt the Galway property market is on the up and our recent auction results have shown that,” he said. “The turnout at these latest viewings certainly indicate that more and more buyers are coming to the market, however, the lack of properties coming to the open market is becoming a big issue.”

Recent surveys show that the property market will rise by up to 14 per cent in parts of Galway for 2014, and Mr Leonard believes that this is the right time to buy. “We have a real eclectic mix of properties and we would urge all buyers to come and have a look at the selection we have to offer,” he added. “There is some excellent value on offer and while some of our recent auction sales have reached prices well beyond what was expected, more often than not our guide prices are in line with the selling prices.”
