Galway GAA fans will have a great opportunity to meet their football and hurling heroes tomorrow evening.
The Galway GAA is organising a pre-championship open night at Kenny Park, Athenry, commencing at 7pm when members of the Galway senior hurling and football panels will attend.
Both team panels will undertake a training session on the pitch, and afterwards supporters will have an opportunity to meet and greet the players and managements, and have their photographs taken with the players. Photo cards of both teams will be available for fans to use for photograph signings.
The evening will also include face painting, a skills competition on the pitch, and a free raffle for Galway jerseys.
This is an opportunity to lend support to both teams ahead of the 2014 All-Ireland Championships.
The footballers open their campaign against London in Ruislip on Sunday May 25, and the hurlers open their Leinster Championship on June 1 with a game against the runners-up in the new round-robin league format that involves Antrim, Carlow, Laois, London and Westmeath.
