Over The Edge Writers’ Gathering

THREE POETS, a fiction writer, and a celebration of the poems of by the late Tom Duddy, will make up the May Over The Edge Writers’ Gathering.

The event takes place in Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop, Middle Street, on Saturday May 17 at 6pm.

Londoner Anna McCarthy writes fiction. Her work was featured in the 2012 Du Maurier Festival. She was an Iowa Review Short Story Awards finalist in 2013.

Maeve O’Sullivan’s debut collection of haiku poetry, Initial Response, was published by Alba Publishing in 2011. Her poem ‘Leaving Vigo’ was recently nominated for a Forward Prize by Revival magazine.

Corkonian Billy Ramsell edits the Irish section of the Poetry International website and co-runs an educational publishing company. County Galway’s Cormac Culkeen writes poetry, fiction, and short stories.

The evening will also see a reading by members of Tom Duddy’s family, from his posthumously published second poetry collection, The Years, published by HappenStance Press.

Admission is free and all are welcome.
