Buy My Dress 2014 in aid of The Down SyndromeCentre

Buy My Dress, the largest one day charity dress sale in Ireland, will be held on May 25 in The Clayton Hotel in aid of The Down Syndrome Centre.

The charity event will raise funds for the development of Ireland’s first centre dedicated to children with Down syndrome with emphasis on early intervention. One in every 546 births in Ireland is a child with Down syndrome.

Nine-year-old Laura Ryan from Knocknacarra will join event organiser Noreen McKenzie Costello to launch the Galway event. Buy My Dress, supported by Kellogg's Special K, is now in it's sixth year and will see some 10,000 new and lightly worn dresses go on sale at exceptionally low prices. Funds raised will go directly to opening the first national centre dedicated to people with Down syndrome in Ireland and their families.

Present at the launch will be nine year old Laura Ryan from Knocknacarra and Galway native Suzanne Kinneavy of Suzanne's Image & Wardrobe Consultancy, who will be giving style advice at the event. Hair Flair & Beauty from Mervue and Galway-based milliner Caitriona King Designs are just a few of the local businesses that will be supporting the event. This year’s event is shaping up to be the ladies day out of the year with fabulous dresses on sale, makeovers, style advice, beauty tips, competitions, raffles, and celebrity dresses.
