The big shock last weekend in the county hurling championship was 8/1 outsiders Tommy Larkins beating 2013 All-Ireland champions St Thomas by 2-15 to 0-19.
St Thomas are missing a few players from the side that won the county championship in 2012 - Richie Murray (retired ), Bernard Burke (abroad ) and James Regan and Sean Skehill (both injured ), but they were still expected to have too much strength in depth for Tommy Larkins.
Tynagh-Abbey-Duniry also created a shock when they had a good win over Turloughmore, advancing by 2-15 to 0-15.
The replay of the Sarsfields and Carnmore game has been fixed for Kenny Park on Saturday (5pm ) and that will be followed by Kinvara and Beagh at 6.30pm. The draw for the second round ties are due to take place after those games.
