This year The Lane Studio celebrates 30 years of providing a reliable and professional photography service to the people of Galway from its premises on Church Lane in the heart of Galway city.
The work of The Lane Studio has taken pride of place in many Galway homes over the years and, as a member of the Irish Professional Photographers Association and an award winningphotographer, Gerry O’Gorman and his team have the passion and experience to capture the perfect shot.
From the moment you enter The Lane Studio from the street, you are faced with a gallery of cherished memories in various sizes, frames,andstyles; showcasingthewell established talent and creativity of this small and dedicated team consisting of photographer Gerry O’Gorman, assisted by his wife Ann and studio manager Vanessa Patterson.
The Lane Studio caters for all kinds of family occasions from weddings, christenings, and Communions, to graduations and family portraits. The team at The Lane Studio are warm, welcoming, and engaging, and they understand that every customer is leaving with a very special memory and that an attention to detail and a personal approach is essential throughout each session.
While the team at The Lane Studio may be small, there is a firm commitment to the customer. From the welcome mat outside the door to the warm smiles and conversation, the focus is on getting a professional photograph taken in a fun and relaxing environment that puts the customer at ease, while also forging relationships which will last even after the first session.
The homely feel to the studio space is coupled with an attentiveness in every aspect of the process, where Gerry and Ann take great pride in their work, advising and setting up each shot in accordance with the customer’s specifications and ensuring that everyone is looking his or her best. Studio manager and creative assistant Vanessa, an expert in editing and touching up each photo, will make sure that each captured memory is picture perfect.
The Lane Studio provides all services in house, from shot to framing, where the team can tailor photographs and framing to suit specific requirements so that customers are not tied down to conventional sizes and styles.
Additionally, The Lane Studio provides a truly special projection room which is made to look like a cosy and comfortable living room. Here the customers can take a seat on the sofa and view their photographs as if they were hanging above their own fireplace, while Gerry, using the latest interactive software, can take them through the many available sizes and frames to find the right fit to complement the captured memory.
