The Song of Wandering Aengus

WB YEATS’ The Song of Wandering Aengus has been published as a picturebook for children, illustrated by Italian artist Marina Marcolin.

The Song of Wandering Aengus is the first English-language book illustrated by Marcolin and published by County Galway company Futa Fata, which normally publishes works as Gaeilge.

The poem, first published in 1899, was inspired by Yeats’ unrequited love for the Irish feminist and nationalist, Maud Gonne. The book is available in hardback in all good bookshops at €9.95.
